SAP – committed to networked logistics

SAP Deutschland SE & Co. KG, based in Walldorf, is celebrating its CeMAT premiere with a large stand. Here, alongside its tried-and-tested software solutions, the company is showcasing its new SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain business suite, which helps companies make their business processes more flexible.

31 May. 2016

In a first at CeMAT in Hannover, SAP is joining forces with its partners under the banner "Success in networked logistics" to show how business processes can be made more efficient in an increasingly complex world. The presentation includes applications such as SAP Extended Warehouse Management, SAP Transportation Management and SAP Integrated Business Planning, which don’t just help improve production planning but can also make logistics networks leaner and more efficient. At CeMAT 2016, the IT experts from SAP in Walldorf will be demonstrating how their user-friendly modules aim to simplify work in the digitalized and networked value-added chain.

At the heart of SAP’s trade fair offering is the new SAP S/4HANA software suite – an end-to-end logistics solution.

"We don’t distinguish between internal and external logistics very much – we see networked logistics from supplier to end customer as key,"

said Ralf Schränkler, Solution Sales Executive SCM at SAP,

during the CeMAT IT Roundtable ahead of the world’s most important trade fair for intralogistics and supply chain management. SAP considers a supply chain execution (SCE) platform integral to this end-to-end approach. As a result, it is focusing on integrated systems to boost the linking of warehouse automation and the complete range of warehouse technology and thus create an advanced intralogistics solution.
