App-wardly mobile scanning?

At CeMAT 2016, Scandit, the Swiss supplier of mobile data capture solutions, is exhibiting plug & play apps for the supply chain of the future and the new Scandit Case for smartphones that optimizes procedures and lowers costs.

01 Jun. 2016

Founded in Switzerland in 2009 and already a global operator, Scandit is renowned for its mobile data capture solutions that work together with smartphones, tablets, wearables and drones and can be custom-integrated into a company’s infrastructure easily and at low cost. This year in Hannover, the company is doing more than just showcasing its latest innovations. CTO Dr. Christian Floerkemeier will be presenting a talk at 12 noon on 2 June as part of the A. T. Kearney Session in the Logistics IT Forum to show the audience first-hand how Scandit’s intelligent solutions move beyond traditional approaches to help simplify procedures and make them more efficient.

One way in which Scandit uses the potential of mobile technology to simply and quickly optimize workflows and to implement a broad range of conventional identification and data capture processes using mobile technology is its scan case for the iPhone 6/6s. Companies can use this device to complete resource-intensive scanning processes along the entire supply chain, including inventory management, stock tracking and proof of delivery. In conjunction with Scandit’s customized mobile software solutions, the Scandit Case easily competes with dedicated barcode scanners. At the same time, these clever cases protect smartphones from daily wear and tear and thus offer companies a robust, intelligent, powerful and yet cost-effective tool.
