Much of what the manufacturing sector still needs to get it up and running for Industry 4.0 has long become part of day-to-day business in the intralogistics industry - though of course there is always room for further improvement. The primary area of focus here is data collection and data networking, in other words reliable identification procedures and data processing. SICK is at CeMAT in Hannover this year to showcase its extensive portfolio of sensor technology specifically designed for intralogistics and Industry 4.0. The solutions on show include the Master Analyzer, which recently won a "Best Product" award in the "identification, packaging, loading and load securing technology" category.
The Master Analyzer delivers a straightforward, standardized approach to collecting and managing master data such as size, weight and part number, and also features a photo capture option. The wide range of possible applications ensures transparency across all processes within the supply chain. The Master Analyzer can be used to record data for both incoming goods and dispatch, while also helping optimize storage space. Product digitization and visualization are completed in real time with no restrictions on shape, surface type, material properties or size - even very small products can be measured and recorded with complete certainty. What’s more, products to be scanned can be fed into the Master Analyzer from two sides as standard without any complicated alignment, thus boosting process reliability and saving time.
