Currently the most important sensors for trackguiding Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) work with artificial landmarks. These sensors are guide wires and / or transponders within the ground, painted lines, but also colour markings on the walls, detetcted by laser scanners or 2- D marks on the ceiling, recorded by a camera on the vehicle.
