They have an impact-resistant gear housing, double ratchet springs, precision gears and a double casing to protect against dust and water, a safe and reliable mechanical braking system, load chain guidance and a long-life, nickel-plated load chain. They score points with their easy handling, long service life and reliability. We are talking, of course, about the Kito hand chain hoists of the CB Series. A wide range of load capacities, extending from 500 kg to 50 t and, in the case of special versions, up to 100 t, gives an idea of the spectrum of applications covered by these hand chain hoists. As in the other products from Kito, an important component from its depth of production is the load chain, which differs greatly from its competitors - Kito is the world's only manufacturer to nickel-plate its load chain. The advantage of this process is that it prevents hydrogen embrittlement, as the nickel surface is permeable for hydrogen molecules. Because of its special properties, nickel is particularly well suited as a surface coating for many applications. Nickel is known to be resistant to salt air, water, dilute acids and most alkalis. The KITO load chain also has an increased breaking strength of 1000 N/mm², thus conforming to the strengthened Quality Class V.
