Multi-axle drive system with integrated automation
The multi-axle system includes an embedded control, which is connected to the main level or visualization typically via Ethernet, acting as fast real time EtherCAT master for the axle concerning torque, speed and position control, motion control in synchronous clocked and positioning tasks or generation of curve profiles. Connected remote I/O-modules expand the systems within the machine for the input/output of digital or analogue signals.
The central network supply is done by rectifier modules or alternatively by AFE-units for the sinusoidal power input or feedback into mains.
The 24V-DC supply unit feeds all internal or external control voltages of the plant, even in case of power failure, from the intermediate circuit energy of the drives into a controlled emergency stop.
Internally secured drive modules in the power ratings between 0.75 and 132 kW are designed for the current types of synchronous (servo or torque) and asynchronous motors.
The multi-axle system with integrated safety technology is completed by the ,Safety Basis Package' with ,Safe Torque Off' (STO) and ,Safe Brake Control' (SBC). A second function module with redundant microcontroller structure provides the functions - safe operational stop (SOS), safe stop (SS1 and SS2), safely limited speed (SLS), safely limited position SLP), safe direction of rotation (SDI), safe speed monitoring (SSM) and safely limited increments (SLI).
The access of classical control levels is provided by optional modules for Profibus, CAN, Interbus, ProfiNET and Powerlink.
For the thermal layout of the machine-specific superstructures central cooling components for the liquid and air cooling are created, which can be mounted internally in the control cabinet or thermally separated in through-mount manner.
