This evolution of the most powerful synchronous belt in the market delivers the power and performance expected from a Poly Chain® belt with the reliable dissipation of electrostatic charges requested by industry standards. When belt drive systems are located in potentially hazardous environments, this factor is critical, and anti-static belts are a must.
Safety is key to Gates and deserves the highest attention. The newly developed Poly Chain® Carbon Volt® conforms to the ISO9563 static conductivity standard and will serve any application (grain elevators, storage silos, gas industry, oil refineries and chemical processing plants) required by the ATEX directive. ATEX encompasses all products used in environments where potentially explosive atmospheres may arise and ignition and explosion can occur. Both fire and explosion endanger the workers at the machines.
The new standard Poly Chain® Carbon Volt® range is available from stock in 8M and 14M pitches, in the same widths and lengths as the standard Poly Chain® Carbon. Additional widths are available made-to-order.
