The supporting program for CeMAT presented many memorable highlights

One such highlight was the Forum for Warehousing Technology, staged in collaboration with industry association Verband für Lagertechnik and German engineering federation VDMA. Here industry experts talked about the latest trends and presented practical solutions for various industry sectors on each day of the show. Meanwhile leading scientists and industry representatives took part in
panel discussions, where they examined issues arising out of current developments in warehousing technology.

A further highlight was the special display "AutoID for Packaging and Transport". Thanks to a remarkable collaboration between many different companies, this event showed how information fl ows can be integrated with the movement and handling of production materials. The entire process was demonstrated through to the factory gate, where distribution logistics takes over from intralogistics.

Exhibitors and trade visitors from all countries showed a lively interest in new technologies and the potential for streamlining their warehousing operations - thereby underlining the growing importance of warehousing systems for the effi ciency of the whole logistical chain.
