On Tuesday, 24 April, the spotlight will be on trends and innovations in timeslots hosted by the German Logistics Association (BVL) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML). Prof. Thomas Wimmer, President of BVL, will unveil a new BVL study covering the latest trends and strategies in logistics and supply chain management. The keynote speech by Prof. Michael ten Hompel, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML), will provide an overview of the latest status of research and development. He will moreover delve into the question of which new technologies are coming online in the near future and how people and machines can work together in a future "socially networked industry".
A highlight on Wednesday (26 April 2017) will consist of the "CEO Talk", featuring Dr. Henry Puhl, CEO of STILL GmbH, Dr. Klaus-Dieter Rosenbach, Management Board Member at Jungheinrich AG, Johann Soder, General Manager for Technology at SEW Eurodrive, and Frederik Brantner, Managing Director and founder of Magazino GmbH. Key discussion points will include future scenarios for production logistics, including the role of intralogistics.
From Monday (24 April) through Thursday (27 April), the forum will feature over 20 big-name enterprises from the intralogistics sector, offering presentations on solutions, concepts and examples from the field covering a wide range of logistics applications.
