CeMAT, the world’s leading fair for intralogistics, takes a close look at new
technology solutions for rational resource utilization.
This year, CeMAT, the world’s largest and most important trade fair for intralogistics, will feature a breathtaking array of innovations and world firsts. The fair’s keynote theme is "Sustainability in Intralogistics", reflecting one of the big challenges currently facing the intralogistics sector.
Dwindling natural resources, rising energy and commodity prices and globalization are taking a heavy toll on manufacturers, forcing them to automate and optimize their production and internal logistics systems. Only so can they hope to conserve natural resources, boost their productivity, reduce costs and survive in today’s fiercely competitive marketplace.
CeMAT specializes in innovative products and integrated solutions from the materials flow and logistics sectors. The latest developments in these areas will be explored in detail at a range of forums at the fair. For instance, the WarehousingTechnology Forum will examine warehousing ergonomics and profile automation as an energy conservation solution, while the Port Forum will focus on "green logistics", with experts on hand to discuss sustainable logistics chains and their impacts on freight forwarders, logistics providers and shippers.
The International CeMAT Forum will focus on issues of central importance in all the key geographic areas of the intralogistics world. It will present global sustainability strategies for maintaining the efficiency of logistics operations in the world's large population centers. The discussions will be complemented by a first-rate supporting program, featuring presentations by leading logistics experts on current developments in China and specific challenges in India. There will also be presentations on logistics issues in the USA, Russia and Brazil. 2011 will the first time that the Forum is staged by its new organizer, the German Logistics Association (BVL).
Half of the exhibitors at CeMAT 2011 will travel to Hannover from outside Germany. They will come because they know CeMAT is an unrivalled platform for making valuable contacts and building networks. This "vote of confidence" from the global logistics sector is testimony to CeMAT's status as a major tradeshow highlight for the industry.
